Tadoba Jungle Safari (Chandrapur, Maharashtra)
Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve
This Tiger reserves is in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state in central India. It is notable as Maharashtra's oldest and largest National Park.
The name 'Tadoba' is the name of the God "Tadoba" or "Taru", praised by the tribal people who live in the dense forests of the Tadoba and Andhari region, while the Andhari River that meanders through the forest gives the 'Andhari' name.
Tadoba Andhari Reserve is the largest national park in Maharashtra. Total area of the Reserve is 625.4 square kilometres (241.5 sq mi). This includes Tadoba National Park, created in 1955 with an area of 116.55 square kilometres (45.00 sq mi) and Andhari Wildlife Sanctuary created in 1986 with an area of 508.85 square kilometres (196.47 sq mi).
Tadoba no doubt is famous for it’s Tigers but there are lot of other interesting species of birds, mammals, butterflies & trees to explore.
DAY 01
28th Dec. 2024
Departure by morning flight to Nagpur from Mumbai. Pickup by Innovas or Tempo Traveller from Nagpur Airport or Nagpur Railway Station and Proceed to Resort at Navegaon Gate (Tadoba National Park) 110 Kms / 2 h₹ Post Lunch Proceed for Jungle Safari by Gypsy. Evening back to resort. O/n at Resort.
DAY 02
29th Dec. 2024
Morning Jeep Safari with packed breakfast. Return around 1000 hrs freshen up. After Lunch proceed for evening Jeep Safari. O/n at Resort
DAY 03
30th Dec. 2024
Morning Jeep Safari. After Lunch proceed to Nagpur. Visit Bikanerwala for Santra Barfi etc. and further proceed to Nagpur Airport for flight to Mumbai. Program ends with sweet memories.
Things to Carry :
Khaki/Neutral coloured clothes, Head Scarf for dust cover, Winter guides i.e. Jacket, Handgloves, Monkey Cap (as mornings are cold and you move in open gypsy) etc., Cap, Sun Glasses, Sun tan lotions, Binoculars, Notepad & Pen, Cameras with memory card and extra batteries.
